My First Twin Photo Shoot...Or Was It An Aerobic Class?

I received an e-mail through face Book from a friend Jody Slaven, asking if I would mind coming to her house to do a photo shoot of her twins who were going to be two in a week or so. I jumped at the chance to get more practice in with my camera. She said she would rather have the shoot at her house because the twins were better in their own surroundings and would probably not cooperate elsewhere. I said no problem...how hard can snapping a few pictures be! I want you to keep in mind as you view the photos below, though I got some pretty good shots...there were literally only seconds to snap them before they were off and running to something else. I was exhausted!

This is Payton, she may look sweet...but she is the embodiment of the "Road Runner" her nick name should be "Beep Beep" because that is how fast this little one can move. I think she sat on this chair for a few seconds!

This is Riley....she was the one that was not sure she wanted me there. But then she started doing all these sweet things....like giving the tree a hug. It lasted for a second!

A quiet moment...quick...snap the picture!
This one also was a quick shot before they were up and moving on to something else! Towel please...there is sweat starting to break through...Lol
I took this shot from outside the little cabin from the side window. I wasn't sure what I got, but I was pleased when I saw it on my computer.....
When I saw Riley going over to the picnic table, I ran over and got down on the ground to take this shot...I can tell you what she was thinking..."Hey lady...don't even think of coming up on my bench!" I didn't !
Smile Payton..."NO"
Ok...maybe I'll crack just a little smile for you!

Time for dinner! Come and get it!

Riley had a thing for flowers....This was certainly a fun and fast photo shoot! I was done in about a half hour.
Now I know how Jody stays so slim! Thanks Jody, your baby girls are just beautiful and I had a blast. Let's do it again sometime!

My Little Friend Tyler!

This is my little friend Tyler. I've known Tyler since he was 8 years old. He is 13 now and is not little anymore! I actually have to look up to him...lol. Tyler has been following my photography on Face Book...I guess you can say he is my first fan. He finally asked me if I would do a photo shoot with him. I said let's go! The picture above is the one he is using on his FB profile. We started this photo shoot with the bright sun (as you will notice in pics below) and ended with the night sky closing in)

I believe this was the first pose...he was a natural at it! I didn't really have to say too much.

This was one of the shots at the Harbor in Wells ME. As you can see, it was getting dark. Doesn't he have cute freakles! Lol...

This was taken at the beach. Ty was climbing up onto the "life gaurd" chair. I said hey! Look down at me...and "Click" Voila!

Ty just chilling out on the rocks above...I really didn't want to climb up there so I took this from below.I actually did climb up afterwards and lost my toe nail polish! UGH!

I took over 100 pics...and there were many good ones....but I just wanted to post a few here about my friend TY!

MY DAY AT THE PORTLAND HEADLIGHT!

Last Saturday Sept. 5th, was the first time ever visiting

the Portland Headlight in Portland ME. What a beautiful

Place. I was shooting pics faster then I could imagine! Lol

This woman and her child look great out there on the cliff so,I decided to take a picture of them and started snapping away! I have many but decided to post just one!

This place was beautiful. I would recommend that if you have never been there...you need to go!

Another view

I saw this long fence...did I mention, I LOVE OLD FENCE POSTS!

I saw this guy climbing up the cliff, so I zoomed in on him. He had at least another 20 feet to go before he would reach the top....and he does!

I actually got dizzy taking this shot! I was literally bent over the cliff!

THE END..........

Learning To Fill My Days....

It's been 3 weeks since my daughter Brandie, my son in-law Wesley and my two beautiful, handsome grandsons, Emerson & Owen moved to Tennessee.
I am trying to fill my days with meaning, but every now and then, more often then not, the tears will start flowing. I miss their touch, and their hugs and kisses.

I am so grateful for Kelly Roy; a professional photographer who inspires me more then I think she'll ever know. Because of her, I decided to buy my first camera and take up photography. I am not sure what I am doing, but it keeps my mind busy. I am not focusing so much on how much I miss my grandsons when am playing with my camera. Kelly, if you ever read my pitiful blog, "THANK YOU" thank you for opening my eyes to this wonderful world through a lens. I can only hope to be half as good as you someday. I plan to move to Tennessee in two years to be with my grandsons...and I hope to master this enough so that I can start my own business out there.

I did a fun shoot with my nephew Justin and his family at Wells beach;
what a blast we had; especially trying to out run the storm that was close on our heals.

Hannah, Adrieanna, and Reece
Check out that sky behind them....

I loved these two girls, they are sugar and
spice and everything nice with a hint of
"Naughty" Lol

Playing on the rock...what a trio!

I just love my big sister!!! Come back
again....maybe you'll see more pictures
of us!!!

ON To New Adventures With My Camera! My First Senior Picture Photo Shoot...YIKES!!!

I received an e-mail from Kassandra above, (dark hair)
asking if I could do her Senior photos.
I jumped at the chance, but quickly informed
her I was not a pro, but I sure would love to
just have fun and see what happens. We started
out with a few shots of her and her younger
sister Makayla. The following are other shots
taken at Wells Beach and at the Harbor.

At the Harbor

There are many more, but I just wanted to post
a few. I wish I knew how to edit them in Photoshop
CS4...they would probably look even better. Can
anyone offer any suggestions? Kelly? Help!!!

Our Last Family Visit Before The Move To Tennessee

Our last family outing was spent at
Shaw's Ridge BBQ Pit. Emerson and
Owen are both celebrating birthdays this
month and because they will not be here, we
decided to celebrate early. Uncle Derek
helps Emerson to blow out his candles.
The boys were both excited!

Earlier that day, we stopped over to Aunt Lee and
Uncle Butch's house for a last visit. Uncle butch
loves the boys and was so excited to see them.

Aunt Lee cut up watermelon for Owen. As you can
tell, he absolutely loved it!

This was one last photo of my daughter and my
grandsons with Uncle Butch and Aunt Lee.

One last squeeze for the road!

This was taken at Shaw's Ridge BBQ Pit.
Emerson was exploring the minature golf course
and was having a blast!

Owen liked an old wagon they had on the
property and decided to sit for awhile.
By the time Owen got to blow his candles out, he was
covered in frosting. Needless to say, one side of
the cake had none. Lol

Pepere and Mommy helps Owen to blow out his candles
He was so excited!

One last pose for Memere! I love you both so
much and will miss you so very much!!!

About Me

My photo
I am learning to navigate through life without my kids.Learning that I can do anything I set my mind to and that Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes. I am discovering that my happiness is not based on people...I am learning that happiness is from within, and is a gift from God. I am learning that when my eyes remain fixed upon Him...I can remain happy even with my grandsons so far away. I am learning it's ok to be me.
