A SESSION WITH THE NEAL FAMILY

This is one of my favorite shoots.
I can honestly say this is a family that
has been through the storm in the past
year. John and Denise are the proud parents
of 5 year old Triplets, Zachary, Ian, and Saralin.
Talk about needing roller skates! After spending
just a little over an hour with them gave me a
whole new appreciation for what Denise & John
go through on a daily basis.

What really makes this family amazing, is that Denise
is battling cancer and is in remission. She has been
cancer free for one year now and her hair is back!
She decided this was the year to have family
pictures done and knowing that I was starting out
in my photography business, she asked me to
do the session with them. I jumped at the
opportunity because Denise is an amazing woman.
Even though she is facing the unknown, she smiles
and conquers every day with a smile. She is upbeat
and her laugh is contagious.

This was the first Family Picture. It
has been a long time since they have been
able to have family Portraits done. What
a beautiful Family!

In this photo, Denise was holding Saralin's
hand, a precious Mother and Daughter
moment.

I was able to get this shot of Denise as she
sneaked a kiss in between shots with
Saralin.

When I see this picture, I say God is good!
What beautiful children...FULL of ENERGY!

When it comes to the boys, they are full of
curiosity and wonder...speaking of wonder, I
wonder which one this is...Zachary or Ian.
Sorry..I am not sure, so I guess I'll keep on
wondering. But isn't he CUTE!

He had the big boy pose down and
wanted everyone to know it! LOL

I can say Ian & Zachary were so funny.
They were so cute together and just loved
hamming it up for me!

Saralin was so sweet and dainty.
I don't know how she keeps up with
her brothers, but she does. She was so cold here
and wanted her coat. I have to say
though the sun was shining, it was COLD!

This was one of my favorite shoots and
I hope I get to do their Senior portraits
someday!

A Visit To Tennessee

I believe in my September of 09 blog I shared
that my two handsome Grandsons had moved to
Tennessee. Life has been pretty empty without
them. I miss their hugs and wet little kisses.

My husband and I decided in November to take
our first flight ever! I always said I would never
step a toenail on a plane. I have to say, NEVER say
NEVER...life has a way of making things happen.
It was either fly, or I wouldn't see my Grandsons.

I do have to say...it wasn't bad, pretty fun actually!
Now I know what they mean when they say the
clouds look like cotton candy. They do!

While in Tennessee, I decided to do a session
with my Daughter Brandie, Son in-law Wesley,
and my two Grandsons Emerson and Owen.
I have to say...the pictures came out pretty
good for a beginning photographer.

The Shot above is my Favorite of Emerson
with his raccoon hat. SOOO CUTE!

This shot was of the family and the one they
used on their Christmas card.

A close up of my little "Owie Bear"
He is just the sweetest little boy.

My Son in-law Wesley, is a great Dad
and the boys just love their Daddy!

Brandie is an amazing Mom and
because of her Teacher background,
she is able to keep the boys on a
pretty good schedule of fun activities
and learning life's skills. They are smart
little boys.

We are going back out to Tennesse
this fall, BUT we are driving LOL.
Tennesse was absolutely beautiful, I
would move there in a heart beat if
my husband said we could....who knows...
never say NEVER!
As you can see Brady loves action, whether it be jumping off a rock and psong in mid-air, or running with Mya.

Brady Thistle in this Session

Wow, where has the time gone? I cannot believe I haven't blogged since November! Truth is, I have had a lot on my plate. My life has been going at a speed of 100 MPH! Now that things are starting to slow down, I can actually see the road ahead...there are images and people and yes, there's my LIFE! I'm BACK. In between all the craziness, I have still managed to get out and shoot a few sessions. Hope you enjoy some of the images I am going to share!

This session is with Brady Thistle, a young, energetic, 5 year old. He is part of our family as his Mom and My son are seriously dating and have been for a little over a year now. Brady enjoys hanging out with Mya and Mya absolutely loves Brady.

This is the big boy pose I taught Brady. He thought is was pretty cool. but his favorite shot was the one jumping up in the air...now that was COOL!

Fun On Kimball Farm with Brad, Amy and their boys.

It was a beautiful fall day on Kimball Farm. There were what
seemed to be millions and millions of leaves. They seemed
to have formed a beautiful colored quilt over the ground.
You could disappear in the heaps that were created. Here
In this shot Jarod, he threw a pile of leaves up into the air and
they came down all around him. It was cool.

In this shot Stiles is doing the same thing. He was so cute!

This is the oldest boy and my mind draws a blank for a name.
He did not care to smile in during this shoot...braces!

This is the next to the oldest son, and sorry...no name comes to
mind.

This is Jarod just relaxing in the leaves...

Amy and Brad

The whole Family

This is a happy moment right? Lol The boys wanted no part of this
photo

Amy and the boys...just smile she says under breath...

I told the boys to go play and I'll take photos. They were off and running

They did not want to pose...

Jared

Sorry...I am so bad with names

The oldest boy

I think I remember Stiles because of his
cute hair! It was an interesting shoot!

Kass & Julia

I guess from the look of my Blog you all can tell pretty much what
I have been up to since my Grandsons moved to Tennessee.
I have been filling my days and hours with photography so that I don't
have to think about how much I miss them and want to hold
them. My Canon has been intrumental in fighting this depression
that wants to consume me on a daily basis.

Kass, the young girl you see above, is going through a tough time as well.
Senior year and Family situations had made life a little difficult for her.
I guess you can say God brought us together. I love to shoot and she
loves to pose. Together, we have a lot of fun trying to be creative with our shoots.
Kass has been a ray of light in my life at this time. I also hope that I have been one
in hers with my photography. I told her no dream is so far out of reach if
one is willing to reach for it. I want to be the best photographer I can be and
she wants to Model and get involved in fashions. So, I say...Let's GO FOR IT!

Below is a picture of Julia, a friend of Kass. I think a few more sessions
and she will feel comfortable posing for me, however, she did great!
Below are some of the shots we did in Ogunquit and in North Berwick.
I know I am still learning, but I hope you enjoy the photos I was able to capture.
Shooting in the bright sun is very challenging. You have to constantly look for shadows and washouts of color. I think I did ok. If not, there is always next time!

A SENIOR PHOTO SHOOT WITH KASS 11/02/09

This is Kass. She is graduating this year and
needed photosfor the Senior Year Book. I
was only to happy to help out. We had to stay in town
as I only had an hour to shoot this during my lunch
break. Spots in town included the front of the Bank,
different spots on Main St, the Town Hall, The Park in
center of town and an Alley. What a blast we had!
Below are some of the shots I took.

On the stairs at the Town Hall...

They have cool store fronts and interesting locales.
Not sure what I'll capture...so make sure you check back!

About Me

My photo
I am learning to navigate through life without my kids.Learning that I can do anything I set my mind to and that Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes. I am discovering that my happiness is not based on people...I am learning that happiness is from within, and is a gift from God. I am learning that when my eyes remain fixed upon Him...I can remain happy even with my grandsons so far away. I am learning it's ok to be me.
