A REUNION, 4 GENERATIONS

Last week I received a call from my friend
Donna Oakley. Her son Justin is home for a
short visit and was on leave from Iraq. This meant
Justin would bring his 2 year old son Kelton
and with Great Grandpa visiting (who is a real
Indian Chief) what better time to get photos of
four generations. As you can see the photo above
Donna is loving every moment of spending time
with her grandson, Kelton.

Four Generations
Here we have the 4 Generations. Great Grandpa,
His son Keno, and Keno's son Justin, and Justin's
son Kelton.

This cutie is Cheyenne, Keno's niece, who made
the drive up with Great Grandpa.

Justin and Kelton enjoy a hug. Nothing like
being in Daddy's strong arms!

Grandpa Keno kissing his grandson.....

Kelton really love being with Keno, they were
together and bonding quite a bit while I was
there.

Cheyenne, sitting under the tree while all the
boys were playing...she was the only girl besides
Donna.

My Day At The Foot Bridge Beach With Niece Cheyenne, My Brother Norm and His Wife Melissa.

( Norman, Cheyenne and Melissa 07/12/2009) My niece had no fear of the water, there was no getting her to pose...I found myself running the entire time to try and squeeze in a shot here in there. The energy this little girl had! I was exhausted...LOl

There is nothing like an adventure then the one that
can be found in the tall grass down by the Marsh.
It didn't take Cheyenne long to get used to the straw like
grass between her toes.

This was one of my favorite shots...she was enjoying
the view of the water below...I just had to get
on my knees and hope I could take this shot
before she was off and running again!

She was off to explore!

This was a fun shot of my brother Norm,
he loves his little princess so very much.
She wanted him to go to the water...look Daddy!

Here is Melissa, sharing a special moment with
Cheyenne...she finally isn't running and I can actually take a good shot!

This shot was priceless, we watched Cheyenne
roll the sand between her hands.....you could hear
her say "Ooooooooo"

This was funny...I said say cheese
Cheyenne and just when I snapped
the picture she said "cheese" and
Lifted up her dress.....
there was a couple watching and they
started to laugh.

This is my favorite, she is so cute, she is exploring the Marsh
looking to see what else she can touch, or pull on.

This was our day...there were 98 pictures taken, I'd love
to share them all...but it would take me FOREVERRRR!

Ok, I am off to another Photo Shoot...see you soon!

Fourth Of July with Grandsons Emerson and Owen

Emerson and Wesley enjoying the show.

Here are my two "Peeps" Emerson and Owen. They are sporting their new 4th of July hats they purchased at the dollar store.

My grandsons love to wear funny hats and they have quite the collection going.
Taken at Drakes Island

We had a wonderful fourth of July day. The sun was out for once and though it was a little chilly our night at the beach turned out great.

I'm not sure what Owen was trying to say in this picture, but he loves to make funny faces and we all cracked up at this one!

I am so blessed to have my Grandsons.

YOU KNOW THE ECONOMY IS IMPROVING WHEN MOTHER NATURE PUTS THE SUN BACK TO WORK!

I cannot believe the weather we have been having here in New England. It's rained the entire month of June, and July was on a wet start as well. Here it is July 11th, and we are finally seeing the sun. It was out partially out yesterday and it is beaming today.
I am thankful that the 4th of July weekend wasn't a total washout. We had a wonderful time with my daughter Brandie, her husband Wesley, his Dad Calvin and my husband Maury and of course my two beautiful grandsons.
We had Lobster... as you can see Brandie and Wesley were very excited to dive into these 3 lb big boys! They were so big that Wesley's Lobster shell cracker broke! I do not eat Lobster, but it was fun watching them work for the meat! As you can tell by the photos above, Grampa Calvin and Pepere Maury were eager to dive in, and Brandie had to pose with her Lobster before she dives in.

So, we were grateful for the sun that day!

July BeginsWith More Rain, And The Nest Is Wilting!

Well, here we go, July 1st and yet another rainy day. It had rained the whole month of June and July doesn't look to promising. It's going to be a long summer being couped up in this nest with hubby! We all know how he hates being couped up! I thought I'd post this picture of what the blue sky looks like in case I forget! My daughter Brandie took this shot at the apple orchard last year. Pretty nice shot I'd say. Nothing much to say today...other then RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!!!

About Me

My photo
I am learning to navigate through life without my kids.Learning that I can do anything I set my mind to and that Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes. I am discovering that my happiness is not based on people...I am learning that happiness is from within, and is a gift from God. I am learning that when my eyes remain fixed upon Him...I can remain happy even with my grandsons so far away. I am learning it's ok to be me.
